Narratives
Separating My Toes Changed My Feet

Separating my toes is unlike any experience I've ever had.

Our fingers move freely every day, but our toes spend most of their lives crammed together inside shoes. So, they rarely get a chance to spread!

At first, toe spreading feels... strange. Your feet are packed with sensory receptors, especially between your toes, so your brain notices the change immediately.

The good news? That feeling fades. Before long, spreading your toes starts to feel normal.

Some studies have even found that practicing simple toe exercises can strengthen the small muscles in your feet and help support your arches.

Starter Exercise: Active Toe Spreads

Sit with your feet flat on the floor and try to spread your toes as far apart as you can. Hold for 5 seconds, relax, and repeat 10 times.

If your toes barely move, don’t worry. They're just a little out of practice. Reply and let me know how you did!

Could your shoes be the problem?

If spreading your toes feels almost impossible, your shoes might be squeezing them too much.

That's exactly why I designed my own shoe line with Peluva. They give your toes room to spread naturally while still protecting your feet for everyday life.

If you've been thinking about trying a pair, Peluva's Aspen Hiking Boots are currently 30% off while supplies last. Use code STAYFLEXY at checkout to save even more.

I hope that helps, and as always…

Stay Flexy,

David

Movement of the Day
Wrist Extension

This stretch improves wrist flexibility while reducing tightness in the forearms.

Watch the demo here.

How to Do It:

Place your palms together in front of your chest. Keeping them pressed together, slowly lift your elbows until you feel a stretch along the underside of your forearms. Hold for 30 seconds.

Tips:

• Keep your palms pressed together
• Lift your elbows only to a comfortable range
• Keep your shoulders relaxed

Many of these exercises are in my 12-Week Flexibility Plan.

Myth-Busting
MYTH: Holding a stretch longer leads to better results.

More time isn't always more effective. Research suggests that holding a stretch for about 30 seconds is enough to improve flexibility for most people.
